From Seed to Centerpiece
My career in flowers started with a dream to be a working artist. My husband and I moved up to my parent’s 65 acre property in February 2017 where we built a sweet little white cabin and a half acre garden. I was in charge of our cut flower program, while David thrived with bed prep and sourcing rare heirloom vegetable seeds. We moved to Hitchcock, Texas in 2023 where we have built a new micro flower farm and serve the local area with our locally grown flowers.
We embrace a true seed to arrangement philosophy when we were growing flowers. We are deeply committed to not only restorative agriculture, but also eco-friendly design practices.
95% of our arrangements are designed directly in water, with either a frog, tape, or pillow for support. Flower foam is a plastic product and sends microplastics into our water supplies, so we limit it’s use as much as possible. Read more here.
Sourcing from our gardens and local farms is our top priority. Our favorite local farmers are Life in Rose, Cuts of Color, and Cutleaf Blooms. When our local farms do not have what we need, we source from small, organic American farms. As a last resort, we will purchase from a traditional wholesaler for any “must have” items.
All green waste and flowers after the event are composted for use in our cutting garden.
No chemicals or dyes are used on our flowers once they enter our studio or garden.
All our vases and vessels are considered rentals and are always reused.
