A Wild Garden Wedding at The Grand Galvez — Coastal Blooms for Kathleen & Nick

Last September, we had the absolute joy of designing florals for Kathleen & Nick’s wedding at the iconic Grand Galvez Hotel in Galveston. If you’ve ever dreamed of getting married by the coast, with salty air, historic charm, and a backdrop that feels like a scene from an old-world romance novel — the Galvez delivers all that and more.

Coastal Charm

Last September, we had the absolute joy of designing florals for Kathleen & Nick’s wedding at the iconic Grand Galvez Hotel in Galveston. If you’ve ever dreamed of getting married by the coast, with salty air, historic charm, and a backdrop that feels like a scene from an old-world romance novel — the Galvez delivers all that and more.

Kathleen came to us wanting flowers that felt wild, natural, and totally unfussy. She envisioned a soft, coastal color palette that echoed the Gulf waters — think breezy creams, sandy taupes, faded peach, and a hint of dusty blue. We couldn’t wait to bring it to life.

The Vision: Wild Garden Meets Coastal Romance

We leaned into our signature style — loose, airy, and garden-inspired — with plenty of texture and movement. For Kathleen’s bouquet, we created something organic and windswept, almost like it had been gathered from a seaside meadow. Blousy dahlias, dainty cosmos, sea oats, and wild clematis gave it that "perfectly imperfect" feel she was after.

The ceremony took place in front of the large windows in the Music Hall, with the Gulf just beyond. We designed some garden style urns and placed them on pedestals to give a nice backdrop to the ceremony.

Inside the Grand Galvez: Old-World Elegance with a Natural Twist

We softened the historic glamour of the space with garden-style arrangements that brought a little bit of the outdoors in. The round tables were set with low, sprawling centerpieces that kept things intimate and romantic.

Local Flowers, Island Vibes

We love working with blooms that tell a story, and for this wedding, that meant teaming up with local growers to highlight Texas’ natural beauty. We featured seasonal favorites like cosmos, amaranth, and coral vine giving everything a fresh, authentic feel.

Sustainable from Start to Finish

We kept things earth-friendly by ditching floral foam and using vase rentals from Johanna Terry Events. All flowers were composted after the event concluded.

Hotel Lucine’s First Wedding

It was such a treat to design florals for Hotel Lucine’s debut wedding. The venue’s laid-back elegance was the perfect match for our soft, nature-inspired designs. We played off the venue’s color palette and the whole vibe felt fresh, romantic, and totally true to the couple. We’re so grateful to have been part of this special day. If you’re dreaming of a wedding that’s both gorgeous and sustainable, we’d love to help make it happen. Let’s bring your vision to life—beautifully, naturally, and responsibly.
